The City of Indianola will begin the search for a new City Manager, after current City Manager Ben Reeves announced he is taking a position in Utah later this year. The council discussed the search process at their meeting Monday, and City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the process will look similar to the search from when he was hired in 2022.

‘We want to make sure that when we hire a city manager it’s someone the community supports. The last go around, the city went through an RFP, went to many recruitment firms to try to ensure that the firm had a good breadth of experience, a good network to be able to pull managers in, and had a great experience in getting good community engagement throughout the entire process. They were really happy and pleased with the work that GovHR did last go around, and decided to move forward in that same direction.”
