The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad is likely one of if not the favorite for the Bluegrass Conference Championship in both regular season and tournament. The Saints finished 2nd to Ankeny Christian in the regular season and beat Mormon Trail for the tournament title for the first time since the 90s last season. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports those two teams plus a young Murray are the squads that stand in the Saints way.

Goff : “Always ACA. They’re always tough a Christian school up there, Mormon Trail plays really hard and tough, and Murray, they’re young but they always play scrappy and give us a challenge.”

The Saints will get to host the conference tournament semifinals and could have home court throughout the tournament if they are seeded in the top four.
