Simpson College celebrated 73 of its student-athletes named to the American Rivers Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Friday.
Women’s soccer led the way for the Storm with 18 selections, the highest among all women’s soccer teams in the conference. Men’s soccer followed with 12 honorees, while football had 10. Women’s volleyball and women’s cross country each saw nine athletes named to the team. Men’s cross country added another eight, and women’s golf (4) and women’s tennis (3) rounded out the final seven selections.
Simpson’s 73 total selections ranked fourth in the conference.
To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
