Six members of the Simpson College women’s soccer team have been named Academic All-District honorees by the College Sports Communicators, celebrating their excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Jordyn Foelske and Hailey Kowzan earned this distinction for the third time in their careers, joining former defender Abby Cozzoni as the only three-time honorees in program history. Maddie Hays and Avery Plathe received the honor for the second time, while Meredith Downs and Ally Hoffa were recognized for the first time.
To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team’s games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
