Jathiya Isaac-Thomas, a former national champion and collegiate teammate of Central College women’s wrestling head coach Paige Baynes has joined the program as an assistant coach.

Isaac-Thomas went 4-0 at the 2019 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Invitational to win the national title at 116 pounds. She was one of three national champions for Wayland Baptist University (Texas) that year alongside Baynes. Wayland Baptist finished sixth as a team and Isaac-Thomas was named the meet’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.

The Katy, Texas native comes to Central after spending the last five years working in finance and real estate in Texas. She will also serve at Central as an Admission Counselor.

The Dutch women are back on the mats today and Saturday at the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Missouri.
