The Pella City Council is set to hold one final work session before taking a formal vote on soliciting bids for the Indoor Rec Center and Pella Community Center.

A policy and planning session is scheduled this coming Tuesday as the council once again deliberates without formal action on proposed renovations to the Pella Community Center and construction of a new indoor recreation facility at the Pella Sports Park. The discussion will also include the latest regarding potential extension of University Street east — a project that earlier this year secured $1 million in federal funding.

While not provided in the council memo prior to the meeting, an update regarding estimated costs and fundraising for both efforts will be provided. The review will also include “financial parameters established by Council on July 2, 2024.”

Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
