A local non-profit organization aiming to enhance the Pella community is hosting a matching challenge for Giving Tuesday this week.
The Spirit of Pella is seeking $15,000 in funds for a variety of projects, including a new ice chiller at Caldwell Park to expand the ice rink’s availability during the winter.
Kyle Nelson and Dave Sutphen with the Spirit of Pella board say they intend to match that number through the giving challenge on Tuesday.
The Spirit of Pella has also financed many of the Christmas decorations currently on display in Central Park.
