A local non-profit organization that distribute grants to several others encourages end-of-year giving or those looking to make donations during Giving Tuesday to consider their work.

President of the Pella Community Foundation Jim Brandl says they give dozens of grants each year of varying size to projects that directly impact the broader Pella community.

“People often ask me, ‘I get sick of all of the the requests that I get from from all of the organizations, which one should I support?’ and my answer is always the Pella Community Foundation, because a gift to us gets spread throughout the community,” he said following the annual grant giving luncheon. “Today is an example of that–you know, 40 different organizations received grants today and that gets that money gets spread pretty widely, so we’re good and we’re efficient at it, and so we do appreciate people who give to us with the idea of helping to to meet that particular objective.”
