After winning American Rivers Conference male athlete of the week, Central College center Joshua Van Gorp was selected to the D3hoops.com team of the week.

Van Gorp averaged 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists on 65% shooting while leading the Dutch men’s basketball team to a 3-0 week. He had back-to-back 30-point double-doubles in the Snyder Classic hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan. Van Gorp also recorded a double-double in Central’s conference opener on Tuesday, posting 18 points and 12 rebounds in a 100-79 road victory over Simpson College. The selection is the third of his career.

The Dutch resume conference play tonight, hosting Buena Vista University at 7:30 pm.
