The Knoxville School Board will look to set a special meeting for an appointment for the board vacancy at their meeting tonight. .

The board will look to appoint someone at a special meeting on Monday, December 30th to fill the vacancy after the resignation of board member Dave Smith. Also at the meeting the board will hear presentations from the SIAC Committee, and the West Elementary and Middle School leadership teams. In new business, the board will consider early graduation requests, the 2025-2026 course catalog, early retirement applications, the affirmative action plan, and a draft with public hearing date for the 2025-2026 school calendar. After that the board will consider a resolution for an election levy question, a safety grant proposal for the Northstar playground fence, and a purchase of a solar array at Ken Locke Stadium.

Tonight’s Knoxville School Board meeting will start at 5:30 pm at the district office.
