Dates and performers have been set for the 2025 Summer Concert Series at Newton’s Maytag Bowl. The free concerts are held on Thursdays at Maytag Bowl, and will run from May 29 through July 31, 2025. 

Newton Community Development Director Erin Chambers says the staff reviewed the popularity of previous year’s acts, and prepared a schedule based on the availability of the performers. Bands make up the entire 2025 schedule. The concerts include:

The Newton City Band May 29, June 12, June 26, and July 3rd

South 35 – June 5th

The Sheet – June 29th

The Unfortunate Sons – July 10th

Outlaw Country Express – July 17th

Opus Taylor – July 24th

Hudson Road – July 31st

The City of Newton’s total cost for the ten Summer Concert Series performances is $8,250.
