The PCM girls basketball team dominated Nevada at home Friday night as the boys team came up short in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.
The Mustang girls were dominant throughout the contest beating the Cubs 60-23. PCM went into halftime up 28-13 and only gave up ten points in the entire second half. Junior Tori Lindsay hit six three pointers in the contest for PCM and finished with 22 total points while freshman Libby Winters had 16. The Mustangs improve to 8-1 on the season.
The boys team fell in their contest to the undefeated Cubs 64-42. The Mustangs went into half down 26-17 and then fell down twelve points at the end of the third. After a strong offensive fourth quarter for Nevada, PCM was unable to rally back and dropped the contest. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Chase Wagaman who had 14 points and Gavin Van Gorp who had nine. The PCM boys fall to 3-4 on the season.
The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on January 3rd against South Hamilton.
