One of the most decorated players in the Central College women’s golf team’s recent history, Mackenzie Biggs is stepping in as the program’s newest head coach.

Biggs replaces Tabitha Schumacher who spent four and half years leading the program and won a conference title in 2022. Graduating from Central in May, Biggs earned four varsity letters and American Rivers All-Conference honors four times with top-10 finishes at the league championships. In the fall of 2024, she spent time as an assistant coach and helped the Dutch to a runner-up finish at the conference meet. Additionally, Biggs also was the team’s Most Valuable Performer in 2021 and 2023. In 2022, she was a part of the conference championship squad that earned a spot at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Biggs will formally start her role in January in advance of the team’s spring season.
