At winter break, the Pella Christian boys basketball team has three players that are among the leaders of different statistical categories in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

Senior Landon Fransman finds himself on the leaderboards of five different stats in the league after the Eagles first six games. The senior is one of the top rebounders in the conference so far this season, leading the LHC with 9.2 total rebounds and four offensive rebounds per game, while also sitting in a tie for third with 5.2 defensive rebounds per contest. Fransman is also among the league leaders in two shooting stats as well, ranking second in field goal percentage at 60% and fifth in effective field goal percentage at 62.9%. Additionally, fellow senior Deacon Branderhorst is the Little Hawkeye Conference leader in free throw percentage at 91.7%, while junior Gilbert Flagel is tied for fourth in steals per game at 1.7 and is fifth in offensive rebounds per game at two.

As a team, Pella Christian leads the league in rebounds per game (32) and offensive rebounds per game (11.8). The Eagles also rank second in the conference in field goals made per game (22) and field goal percentage (43.1%), third in points per game (56.8), and are tied for third in steals per game (8).

At the break, Pella Christian holds a 3-3 overall record and a 1-1 record in the conference. The Eagles return to the court on Friday, January 3rd for a home non-conference game against West Branch.
