The Indianola boys swimming team features a young roster heading into 2025, after competing in four events in the 2024 portion of their schedule.

The Indians have just three seniors in Ethan Russell, Diego Garcia, and Isaiah Picard, with Russell and Picard both bringing in state meet experience.

Picard has won a state title for the last three years in the 50 Para Freestyle, while Russell has been a team standout and qualified to state with the 19th fastest time in the 50 Freestyle. Head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the team brings in athletes from all around south central Iowa, and have a lot of room to grow throughout the season.

Indianola next hits the pool on Saturday at Des Moines East.
