The Melcher-Dallas Basketball Squads will get back to action tonight after a couple of weeks away from games. The Saint girls have reeled off six straight wins after dropping their first two of the season including a dominating win over tonight’s opponent, Murray. The boys are still looking for their first win and the break may have given the Saints a chance to find their footing and install some new wrinkles in the offense. Coach Matt Bennett tells KNIA Sports, controlling the rebounding is key for his team and trying to keep the opponents off balance.

Bennett: “Getting back to the basics and get a body on someone so they don’t get those rebounds. Make sure when you’re dribbling shoulder to hip so you don’t let the other team steal the ball. I’m also a big believer of adding something new to our offense so they don’t know what you’re doing.”

This starts a busy stretch for both boys and girls as the Saints have games tonight Monday, Tuesday, next Friday and Saturday
