 One of two 19-year-old Monroe men accused of damaging a restroom at Monroe Recreation Park this past November has pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Arson, a Class C felony. Monroe police say Darick Scott Clark and Clayton Duane Waldrop started a fire in the men’s restroom with an explosive device. The November 1st fire caused $2,900 damage. Both Monroe men were arrested November 12th.

Clark entered a guilty plea this past Monday, and District Court Judge Terry Rickers set his sentencing for March 10th. Clark is currently free on a $3,000 bond he posted December 17th. Waldrop is also free on a $3,000 bond. He has a plea hearing scheduled for January 27th.
