Two close games between Melcher-Dallas and Lamoni resulted in opposite results for the Saints as the girls grinded out a 45-42 win while the boys fell short 45-43 to the Demons. Girls Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports it was a rough game, but they made defensive stops when needed. Addi Wadle led with 12 points, Kesley Reed had another double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds and Danni Enfield scored ten points. The boys came back from 11 points in the 3rd quarter to get to within two points in the final minute of the game, but could not close the deal. Colton Cox had 15 points to lead the Saints, Brody Johsnon scored 13 and Drew Heaberlin had eight steals. The Saints will have the rest of the week off and will not play again until next Tuesday against Diagonal.
