The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams fell at home to Van Meter Tuesday night in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader.

The Trojan girls dropped their contest 44-38 to fall to 9-6 on the season. Pleasantville was led in scoring by Joelle Johnson who had 14 points and Taylor Perkins who had 9. The Trojan boys fell in their contest to the Bulldogs 69-54 to fall to 6-6 on the season. Pleasantville did see an impressive offensive performance in the loss from sophomore Braylon Bingham who had 30 points. The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on Friday against Des Moines Christian.
