The PCM girls and boys basketball teams defeated Greene County at home Friday night in a Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader as the boys wrestling team finished fourth at their conference meet hosted by Roland-Story.

The #10 Mustang girls won in dominating fashion defeating the Rams 68-14. PCM outscored the Rams 48-7 in the first half and also held them to one point in both the second and fourth quarters. The PCM girls improve to 14-2 overall and 10-1 in conference play.

The Mustang boys secured the 82-63 victory over the Rams with help from a career scoring night for senior Gavin Van Gorp who had 32 points. PCM led Greene County 41-30 at half and continued to see scoring from many players throughout the game to secure the win. 11 different Mustangs entered the scoring column in the contest. Van Gorp scored the most points in a game for his career as he hit five three pointers in the first half. The PCM boys improve to 8-7 overall and 7-4 in league play. The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on Tuesday against Grand View Christian.

The PCM boys wrestling team finished fourth at the Heart of Iowa Conference meet hosted by Roland-Story. The Mustangs finished with 126.5 team points. Tucker Wheeler had a first place finish at 157 pounds while Kaden Clark finished first at 285 pounds and secured his 100th career pin. Kaiden Valcore and Bentlee Sloan had second place finishes. The PCM boys wrestling team will be back in action today at Urbandale.
