The City of Newton and Iowa Speedway have been chosen to host one of Iowa’s annual traditions. WHO Radio’s 28th Annual Great Iowa Tractor Ride will be held at the 18-year-old track on Sunday, June 15th through Wednesday, June 18th. The event is held every June and draws up to 500 tractors of all makes and models from across Iowa and other states. Each day the tractors and their drivers travel different routes in the host city and surrounding areas.
Newton Mayor Evelyn George, Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson, and Iowa Speedway Director of Operations Tyler Clement were at the 2025 host city announcement last Friday. Last year’s tractor ride was held in Boone at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
