The PCM boys basketball team defeated Roland-Story at home Friday night as the girls came up short in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.

The Mustang boys defeated the Norseman 67-56 to improve to 10-10 overall. PCM saw a big offensive performance from junior Chase Wagaman who had 25 points. Gavin Van Gorp was also a significant contributor scoring 17.

The #9 PCM girls fell to the #7 Norseman 73-50. The Mustangs fell down 25-10 at the end of the first quarter and struggled to catch up after that. The PCM girls fall to 18-3 overall and will finish the season second in the conference behind Roland-Story. In the loss the Mustangs were led in scoring by Addison Steenhoek who had 15 points. The PCM boys and girls will both be back in action on Tuesday as the boys take on Knoxville and the girls face Van Meter.
