The Pleasantville Police Department wants the community aware of an ongoing scam. 

The department has received multiple complaints that citizens are receiving calls from someone posing as a Wal-Mart online sales associate claiming a fraudulent order was placed in their name. The caller then attempts to gain social security information to sort out the fraudulent order. The department wants citizens to know this is a scam and reminds everyone to never give out any sensitive personal information to someone you don’t know.
