The Indianola boys swimming team wrapped up their four events at the state meet on Saturday in Iowa City, while the boys wrestling team qualified 10 weight classes to the state meet.

Ethan Russel just missed out on a finals qualifying spot in the 50 Freestyle with a 17th place finish, and finished in 24th in the 100 Freestyle, also missing the finals. Isaiah Picard placed 2nd in both the 100 and 200 Para Freestyle competitions. The Indians season comes to a close, graduating a senior class of three.

The Indianola boys wrestling team had multiple district champions including Mac Crosson at 138lbs, Ryan Young at 144lbs, Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs, and Carson Slorah at 215lbs, while Xander Overton at heavyweight, Will Whalen at 175lbs, AJ Pontier at 165lbs, Isaiah Thomsen at 132lbs, and Stoney Wood at 126lbs all placed 2nd. Just sneaking in with a third place finish included Jake Pontier at 157lbs who battled an injury early in the qualification day, but still was able to earn another entry to state.

The state meet begins Wednesday at Wells Fargo Arena.
