The PCM girls basketball team defeated Albia in the Class 3A Region 4 semifinals Wednesday night in the final seconds. 

The Mustangs trailed the Lady Dees 23-20 at halftime and 28-24 at the end of the third quarter. PCM trailed Albia 39-38 with 18 seconds to go and a late basket by Libby Winters put the Mustangs in front 40-39. A turnover by Albia and a foul sent Lila Milani to the free throw line where she hit two big free throws to secure the win. PCM was led in scoring by Winters who had 13 points. The Mustangs will now travel to Williamsburg Saturday night for the regional finals with a trip to the state tournament on the line. The PCM boys will take on Grand View Christian tonight in a second round substate game.
