A goal for new Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson as he begins his term in office will be to keep an open line of communication with the public. Richardson tells KNIA News he has several ideas of how to implement that strategy, but the ultimate goal is to keep the public as informed as possible and keep himself and other city government officials aware of what is going on in the community.

“I’m thinking about having regular office hours, I haven’t gotten to that point yet, I’m less than 12 hours into this whole thing. And where in city hall is another question because that place is packed full of people, which is another reason we are looking at the Regions Bank building and trying to maybe make some expansion. I’ll have to set up something, and once we do I’ll talk to let people know what the hours are and anyone can come in and talk to me at that time.”
