The Knoxville School Board held a Northstar Elementary work session on Monday night.

This was a work session to determine next steps the district will take as they are in process of deciding whether to renovate the current building or build new on land that is reserved in the Veterans District. Representatives from Boyd Jones and Alvine Engineering were present to discuss the Northstar Elementary building assessment that they completed for the district.

Also at the meeting the board heard a presentation for opening statements regarding interest based bargaining for the Knoxville Education Association and the district. There was also a public hearing for the West Elementary Roof Replacement project. The board then approved an operational sharing agreement, a proposal for KPAC heating repairs, a fee for track/softball parking lot enhancements, and a proposal for locating services.
