Following a thriller at home against Oskaloosa that kept their state tournament hopes alive, the #13 in 4A Pella girls basketball team finds themselves back in the regional finals for a third consecutive season, seeking an upset of conference foe Norwalk tonight.
The #6 Warriors have won four in a row and swept the Dutch in the 2024-25 winter season by 70-35 and 62-48 margins. Pella hits the road trying to solve the co-Little Hawkeye Conference champions and dynamic sisters Braylyn and Bailey Birmingham, who are averaging a combined 36.9 points per game.
The road team will try to find a way to get closer to their January 24th performance at home against the Warriors, in which they pulled to within a one-possession margin in the 3rd quarter.
Coverage of the regional finals begins at 6:30 this evening on 92.1 KRLS.
