After the game, Bauer said a 10-0 run to start the game seemed to give the whole team confidence.

“We want to come out of the gate hard, and we have been lacking on that. But we were able to knock some “three’s” down and had a lot of guys step up tonight, which I am very grateful for.”

Bauer led the team in scoring with 28 points, while Landon Bozarth and Isaiah Slaughter each had 16 points while knocking down two three pointers apiece. Caden Klein also made two three point shots and had 10 points. Newton led 29-7 after the first quarter, 50-26 at half, and 74-44 at the end the third quarter.
