
The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
At the meeting the board approved a second reading and waived a third reading for a zoning map amendment ordinance, heard an update from the IMPACT Community Action Partnership, set a public hearing date for March 25th for the county proposed tax notice, and approved resolutions for the county general safety manual and a funding agreement for a traffic safety improvement program project for destination lighting at four intersections.
Also at the meeting, the board approved a termination notification letter for consulting services provided by Appalachian Mining & Engineering, Inc, heard the results of a county workspace study which will bring changes to county office locations and eventually move board meetings out to the current public health building, and the meeting concluded with the board introducing a desired task force for a future county salary study project.
