
The all-conference selections were recently announced for the basketball season for the Bluegrass Conference. Four girls and two boys from Melcher-Dallas earned all-Conference honors. For the girls, Addi Wadle was one of three unanimous choices for the 1st team. Wadle wrapped up a brilliant career as the all-time career scoring leader in girls play. She led the Saints this season in scoring at 20.5 points per game, she also had a team leading 44 assists, and was 81% this season from the free throw line. Also on the 1st team was Kesley Reed as the sophomore announced her arrival leading the Saints in rebounds with 227. On the 2nd team was Kianna Jackson who led the Saints with 57 steals. Earning an honorable mention nod was Gabby Overgaard, who spent several weeks on the injured list, but was still able to lead the team in blocks with 52 and was 3rd in the conference. The girls finished the season with an 18-6 record. The boys were able to get two on the all-conference list. Drew Heaberlin, who led the Saints in scoring at 10.8 points per game. Earning honorable mention was Reece Chiabotta, who averaged 8.8 points per game. The Saints finished the season 3-17. Two Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Players were named to the all-Bluegrass Conference selections. Holden Roberts was named to the first team. Roberts led the Sabers scoring 15.4 points per game, he also grabbed 114 rebounds, 49 assists, and led the Sabers with 43 makes and 42-percent. Also making all conference was Daxson Powell. Powell scored 7.3 points per game, and was 2nd on the team in assists with 37. Twin Cedars finished the season 6-12 and 6th in the Bluegrass Conference.
