Pella High School had students participating the inaugural Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter this academic year.

They competed in the Iowa State Leadership Conference in February. The following results are some highlights of their work:

Fundamental Accounting Competition (usually has 60+ students participate)
1st place – Lyla Vandevoort (qualified for the National Leadership Conference)
3rd – Elliana Schlerman (qualified for the National Leadership Conference)
5th – Jonathan Panknen (qualified for the National Leadership Conference)
8th – Tristin Plants
11th – Grant Hauser

Financial Math and Analysis Competition (usually has 80+ students participate)
9th – Elliana Schlerman
15th – Tristin Plants
26th – Addison VanWyk
32nd – Emerson Wogen
34th – Lyla Vandevoort
43rd – Jonathan Panknen
48th – Grant Hauser

The top five individuals qualify for the National Conference which is held in Orlando, Florida this year in May. Joel Allman and Jay McKinstrey lead the chapter.
