
At 4:39 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, the Indianola Fire Department (IFD) was dispatched to a structure fire at Harvest Innovations, located at 1210 N 14th Street, Indianola. The initial report indicated the fire started in an exhaust stack within the facility.
Upon arrival, IFD personnel quickly began efforts to contain and extinguish the blaze. Due to the challenging weather conditions, including extreme wind and freezing temperatures, additional support was requested. The Milo Fire Department and Carlisle Fire Department responded to the call, providing much-needed manpower assistance. Thanks to the combined efforts of all departments involved, water was successfully applied to the fire, and the situation was brought under control.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
