High School Students in the Criminal Justice Career Academy at the Newton DMACC Campus were given a tour of the Jasper County Courthouse this week. Jasper County Attorney Scott Nicholson talked to the students about criminal proceedings and the prosecution of cases as well.

The Criminal Justice Career Academy program includes fourteen DMACC credits, and introduces students to the field of criminal justice and juvenile delinquency. There’s also a college preparation course, covering such topics as time management, study strategies, and financing their education.
