One male on a Harley Davidson Motorcycle was injured after leaving the roadway on a turn on Hwy G71 near Bussey at approximately five yesterday afternoon. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says the driver, Rodney Whitt of Oskaloosa, lost control of his motorcycle on the curve in the road. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center by Mercy One Helicopter. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, Bussey Fire and Rescue, Pella Ambulance and Mercy One Helicopter responded to the scene. Whitt remains at Mercy Medical Center and is currently in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
