The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Rescue, and Pleasantville Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle that had rolled into Lake Red Rock earlier Monday morning. Sheriff Ron Goemaat says that after the report was confirmed, a call was placed to Knoxville and Pleasantville Rescue, as they have trained divers.

The divers were able to hook up the vehicle, a black Chevrolet pickup with Des Moines county plates, and pull it out. There were no injuries reported; the pickup was unoccupied when it rolled down the boat ramp. Pleasantville Assistant Fire Chief Jordan Van Ness says they usually have one or two requests for divers each year.
