Around $35,000 was raised during the Knoxville Coaches vs Cancer basketball game, and there is still more money coming in. Knoxville Girls’ Varsity basketball coach Jim Uitermarkt says they’re still tallying the numbers and expect to announce a final amount soon. Coaches vs Cancer activities lasted all day Saturday. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Director Larissa Van Donselaar announced during the game that Uitermarkt, his wife Angie, and the entire girls basketball team will be honored with the Humanitarian Award at the Community Impact Awards Banquet this Saturday.
