Pella Regional Health Center is partnering with the Marion County GOAL Consortium to host a Behavioral Health Wellness Fair to offer information and resources for those interested in mental health and substance misuse issues on Thursday, July 18th from 5:30-7:30pm at Central College Graham Center.
The keynote speaker will be Angela Kennecke, President/Chief Executive Officer Emily’s Hope. Angela Kennecke is a veteran investigative journalist with a mission to stop the stigma surrounding addiction and find solutions to the overdose epidemic. Her work took on a personal urgency on the day she learned that her 21-year-old daughter, Emily, died of fentanyl poisoning. Since then, Angela has spoken tirelessly about the issues surrounding addiction and is the founder of Emily’s Hope. This charity offers hope and treatment scholarships to families struggling with addiction.
