Nominations are being accepted for the 2020 Tulip Queen and Royal Court in Pella. Any high school senior living in the Pella Community School District borders and attending Pella, Pella Christian, or home school qualify. They must be 18 years old by May 1st, 2020, live with a parent or guardian, and be unmarried. Ballots are available to print at KNIAKRLS.com, and can be dropped off at Pella Historical Society, Marion County Bank, the Pella Hy-Vee, and Pella Fareway. The deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday, October 1st at 5 p.m. The 12 Tulip Queen finalists will be announced in mid-October and perform at the annual Tulip Queen’s announcement party on November 16th at Pella Christian High School.
