Bud Kaeding led 21 of the 26 laps and won the first ever running of the USAC Non Wing Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway last night. Pole sitter Scotty Weir led the first lap, Brady Bacon led the next three laps but Kaeding passed Bacon using the cushion in turns three and four and held the lead the rest of the way winning by nearly 20 car lengths over Bacon. Daron Clayton finished third followed by Weir and Dameon Gardner raced his way to a fifth place finish after starting 11th. The 26 lap race was run flag to flag without a single caution . The 305 winged sprint cars also ran last night and Rager Phillips, driving for his brother Tasker, drove to victory lane, Travis Cram finished second followed by Marty Stephenson, Chad Huston and Matt Stephenson.
